Support for village and community halls is available from a number of sources. Your local Village and Community Halls Advisory Service based at Dorset Community Action in Dorchester should be your first point of contact for advice along with your County Village Halls Association. However, to get support from these sources you will need to be an affiliated or member hall. More information on these organisations is shown on the links below.

Your local District Council or the County Council can give advice on their specific areas of responsibility and the Charities Commission can assist with governance and procedural issues in relation to a halls status and conduct as a charity.

ACRE and Community Matters do not support halls directly but their websites may have information that is of general interest to halls.
